A feature of the implementation of pumping station control systems is the use of controllers capable of solving the tasks of process control and at the same time performing telemechanical functions in the dispatch control system.
This led to the choice of the Modicon Premium controller manufactured by Schneider Electric in the control systems of sewage pumping stations.
The Modicon Premium controller has great communication capabilities, supporting various network standards from Ethernet to Modbus and Profibus. The development of technical process control programs for these controllers is performed using the Unity PRO graphics package that meets the requirements of the international standard IEC 61131-3 for programming industrial logic controllers.

The first level includes the Modicon Premium controller, connected via the Modbus network to the Sepam electrical protection and MAS711 pump status monitoring instruments and performing the functions of a network master. This level includes the computer SPT961, which performs the functions of the archiver of the wastewater flow pumped by the pumping station.
The second level consists of an operator workstation, which is an IBM-PC computer with the Wonderware In Touch software package installed.
The third level is located in the control room of the Main pumping station, MUP Ufavodokanal, and consists of a database server and a number of automated workstations of dispatchers on duty and specialists.

The state and operation parameters of the equipment of the control unit are displayed on the AWP screen in real time using mnemonic diagrams, graphs, mode maps.
The protection of the control system equipment is carried out automatically at the level of the controller, Sepam or MAS711 devices according to the approved algorithm, with the results of the protection actions displayed on the operator's workstation. When protection is triggered, the system status and the PTC actions are entered into the local workstation archive for further analysis.

Control and analysis of the specified modes of operation include:
• control of the on state of the input automata on the side of 6kV KTP;
• control of power supply parameters;
• control of energy consumption;
• control of runoff levels in work glasses;
• pressure control in the pressure pipes of the main pumps;
• pressure control in pressure manifolds;
• control and summation of pumped waste.

The implementation of the exchange of information between the controller, the operator's work station of the CNS and the workplace of the dispatcher is carried out by means of a router located in the operator's workstation.
